Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and a musician. He was a member of One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1st, 1994. He's also the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where together with three students, he formed the group he was a part of, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 because of their exceptional results. Despite having an interest in music he also wanted to be either a physiotherapist or lawyer. He worked in a local bakery on a part-time basis to assist families financially. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The band had to disband due to the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to become part of a new band, One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group. The group formed in 2010. The band played songs, such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group could be considered one of the contestants to win the competition. They were however in third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not win the contest. But Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million dollars contract with Syco.
