Zoe Saldana was born on the 19th of June, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her mother and father were both born in Puerto Rico. Her parents raised her at home in Queens, New York. When she was 10 years young the family were relocated to the Dominican Republic, where they were to stay for seven years.
